Seattle photographer Sarah Takako Skinner has been shooting the club scene for years. She has achieved on-the-road fame shooting for DJs and bands, such as Dirty Phonics, KMFDM, The Disciplines, has shot published authors Elisabeth Dale and Ric Merrifield, as well as filmmaker Aron Michael Thompson, and now has had her first behind-the-scenes shoot at Paris Fashion Week shooting for designer Fatima Lopes. We take her accomplishments personally here at Subterfuge since she was one of the first photographers we worked with when we launched. As far as we're concerned, she's one of our own.
Not only is she talented, but Sarah is one of those rare people who manages to be irreverent, audacious, chaotic, and charming all at once. I once promised her that as long she keeps her eye on the prize it won't matter that she says the eff-word in polite society. Had she started out in NY, no one would have cared in the first place. But luckily she made the wise decision to run away to Paris and is now making her way into the fashion scene.

Designer Fatima Lopes and her models at Paris Fashion Week photographed by Sarah Takako Skinner.

Skinner's edge coupled with her vulnerability making her work electric with energy...

I imagine this photo of models eating was taken with tongue in cheek.
Artfully cheeky.
