On the last Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m., The Sorrento Hotel becomes the backdrop for what is becoming a gathering place for the Subterfuge Set. This last month featured Seattle Sounders player James Riley, artist Josh Sternberg, photographers Cass Redstone and Sarah Skinner, entrepreneurs Tim Gill and Sheldon Rosevear, DJ Pooyan Rad, Bravo! Club board members Trent Jackson and Ryan Miller Barnes, and writer/organizer Sarah Elizabeth Caples.  Every gathering has been a different configuration of people, sometimes filling half the room and other times only a couple of cozy couches. Either way, the Salon atmosphere is created in the Sorrento's Fireside Room and is becoming something to look forward to for these friends. They discuss anything from the latest parties they've attended to business projects and artistic endeavors. At times they simply sip cocktails and laugh because life is good after all. The group consists of doctors, business people, finance people, writers, artists, stylists, philanthropists, jet setters and those in between. As fall creeps in we imagine the cozy venue and its happy hour menu will be all the more inviting. Last Tuesday's gathering was intimate, and the gang, although they did get silly as usual, also had a wonderful discourse over what Ryan Miller Barnes' new nonprofit should be.
