Often, when I go shopping with a client, I hold up an item and the client asks, "Where would I where that?" My response, "Where wouldn't you wear it?" It's as much a where question as it is a how question, which is why I started putting these outfits together. 

Seattle is such a casual city with a propensity for breaking rules in terms of manners and propriety that I never understand why people are so timid with their style. Ironically, it's the one place where we can get away with so much more than we realize... in a good way. This outfit is part of a collection I started on Polyvore.com called "We Don't Get Out Much", inspired by a lax, bohemian lifestyle where one works in an unstructured environment.  

I imagine the outfits that a casual Seattle woman of any age can wear and be comfortable, yet still have a touch of glamour. Going from a creative work environment as a writer or stylist, to lunch or happy hour in the summer, and perhaps an art opening, shopping, or a show at The Crocodile. Although these items are designer pieces, similar items are available at lower prices to fit your budget:
