A stylish group, the Subterfuge darlings, turned out for a taste of wines and appetizers, grateful for the air conditioning and good company. Pictured: Anne Smith from Barney's New York, John McDowell owner of Oslo's, jet setters AJ Kamra and Korene Hubacka, and Chef John Akamatsu, are part of Seattle's new social scene featuring some of the brightest stars in town. This crowd is everywhere and loves to party, the ladies in dresses and the men tucked and belted, a step up from the Seattle that has been boasting to be "getting better" regarding style and good manners. This gang has never been anything but a step up, with social graces to match.
WYNEClub is a social group organized by real estate agent Chris Bierrum, and Brian Pellham. They are young wine enthusiasts who enjoy getting together once a month at different venues and sampling various wines from all over the world. The event last night featured five rose wines, perfect on a hot day, from a diverse range of places from Oregon to South Africa. The venue was Poco Wine Room 1408 E Pine St. Seattle, WA 98122, which served tasty appetizers that were graciously provided by the owner and management. A great time was had by all!
